About David Temple

I started covering games for iOS in 2013, and made the Switch to Nintendo (you see what I did there) in 2019. I enjoy tabletop, mobile, and console gaming—just about anything which can provide a little diversion, a brain teaser, or an adventure. A little play every day can be good for you. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it.

Review: GrimGrimoire OnceMore (Nintendo Switch)

GrimGrimoire OnceMore is a port of a PlayStation 2 game from 2007. I do like a good tower defense game, so I was intrigued by the Switch update, but my enthusiasm was met with some mixed realizations while playing the game.

Review: Helvetii (Nintendo Switch)

The game of the day is Helvetii, which dives into northern European lore with fighters, half-beast creatures, and Druids. It’s a bit of roguelite with a splash of side-scroller, and the blend is actually rather pleasing.

Review: Toy Soldiers HD (Nintendo Switch)

I have not played Toy Soldiers on any other platform, so I thought it might be like playing with the plastic, little, green army guys on a game board. I was wrong on that one; this is really a tower defense game with some extras.
